About the program:

Boston University, in collaboration with Rice University's Center for Excellence and Equity in Education, presents TeacherTECH, an intensive 5 day Summer Institute for BPS Middle School Teachers. Institute will focus on developing teachers’ skill levels in:

using the internet as a research tool
designing web pages to support Learning Standards
fostering awareness of gender and diversity issues that target improving girls’ use of technology.

This exciting professional development opportunity is designed for BPS Middle School Math, Science or Technology teachers at BPS Competency Levels of Novice and above. Teachers who have met the Novice level of technology proficiency will benefit from learning basic web design and internet research skills while teachers at the Intermediate level and above will be able to experiment with Dream Weaver and other more advanced web design software.
